The Repco Supercars Championship heads to Queensland Raceway this weekend for the Century Batteries Ipswich Super440. There is plenty on the line as the 2026 Sprint Cup reaches its business end.
The event runs from August 21–23, with three races scheduled across Saturday and Sunday. The weekend could also be one of the last opportunities for fans to see V8 Supercars at Queensland Raceway for the foreseeable future, as the circuit’s future on the championship calendar remains uncertain.
The Championship Battle Heats Up
Ipswich will play a major role in determining the outcome of the Repco Sprint Cup. A Finals ticket will be up for grabs.
Matt Payne arrives in a strong position in V8 Supercars.
However, the field will also be looking to make a statement before the championship moves into its next phase.
Additionally, the first Golden Ticket to the Finals is set to be awarded following the Ipswich event.
There will also be plenty of attention on Triple Eight and Will Brown following the restriction controversy that dominated discussion in the lead-up to the weekend. Triple Eight enjoyed a dominant weekend at Queensland Raceway in 2025, with Brown and teammate Broc Feeney combining for a clean sweep of the three races.

Aaron Seton returns with an additional entry from Matt Stone Racing in V8 Supercars.
