Jarrod Hughes capped off a dominant weekend by claiming his second Trans Am Cup Series victory at the Perth Super440, leading every lap in a dramatic Race 3 at Wanneroo Raceway.

The race was thrown into chaos immediately after the start when a multi-car crash at Turn 1 eliminated several contenders, including Todd Hazelwood and Tyler Cheney. Multiple cars sustained heavy damage, prompting an early safety car.

Despite three separate safety car interruptions throughout the race, Hughes kept his composure on every restart to secure victory ahead of James Moffat, with Lachlan Evennett completing the podium. Nathan Herne recovered from a difficult weekend to finish fourth, while Tim Blanchard rounded out the top five.

The Trans Am Cup Series now heads to Ipswich Super440 on August 21–23, where the championship battle is set to continue.
