It was a night of stark contrasts in Round 3 of the ABL season, a hitting clinic by Sydney Blue Sox backed by offensive firepower, and weather playing spoiler in the match between Brisbane Bandits and Perth Heat.
🔥 Blue Sox overpower the Giants
Powered by a standout performance from Rae, the Sydney Blue Sox ran right through the Adelaide Giants. Rae’s bat came to life when it mattered, setting the tone early and never letting the Giants recover. The result was a convincing win that puts Sydney in strong form heading deeper into the season.
Alexander Wells was again exceptional on the hill for the Bluesox. Wells went 6.0 IP, 1 ER and 7 strikeouts. Wells is now 3-0 for the season.
🌧️ Brisbane vs Perth: Storm wipes out Bandits–Heat clash
Meanwhile, the contest between Brisbane and Perth was engulfed by rain, resulting in a washout that robbed fans of what promised to be a keenly contested battle. With no result possible, both sides are left waiting for a chance to reset as Round 3 continues.
