Perth Glory have finally silenced the doubters with consecutive road victories for the first time in nearly three years they’ve done it. The 2-0 win over Macarthur FC in Campbelltown has put interim coach Adam Griffiths firmly in the spotlight.

🔹 Glory on the Road

Following last week’s gutsy performance, Glory carried that momentum into this clash, grinding out a solid road win with no sign of nerves. New boy Nicholas Pennington continued his rich vein of form netting for the second straight week, before Charbel Shamoon buried the game late in the piece to seal the result.

That’s back to back away wins for the first time since 2021 a statement that the travelling WA side are finally turning a corner.

🧑‍🏫 Griffiths Making His Case

With the pressure on, Griffiths didn’t hide from the spotlight. Asked about whether he wants the job full time, his response was as clear as it gets: “Of course I want it.” According to him, the key has been instilling daily discipline demanding 100 per cent from every player, every session.

He believes the side still has room to grow but says what impressed him most was how the boys executed their game plan and handled the occasion under pressure.

🔸 Signs of Promise — and Plenty of Work to Do

While the result and performance were encouraging, Griffiths didn’t pretend things are perfect. He stressed that the team is still “not even close” to where they could be.

But if this run continues and if Pennington and Shamoon stay sharp, Glory could turn what once felt like a curse into a foundation for bigger things.
