Red Bull Racing has unveiled a striking one-off white livery for the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix, paying homage to their engine partner, Honda. This special design commemorates the 60th anniversary of Honda’s first Formula 1 victory, achieved by the RA272 at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix.
The livery features a predominantly white color scheme, reminiscent of the iconic RA272, and incorporates the Japanese flag motif. Notable elements include the classic ‘H’ logo on the nose and a simple Honda inscription on the rear bodywork. Additionally, a commemorative logo celebrating the 60-year milestone will adorn both Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls cars throughout the race weekend.

This isn’t the first time Red Bull has donned a white livery in honor of Honda. In 2021, the team showcased a similar design at the Turkish Grand Prix after the Japanese Grand Prix was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That tribute also drew inspiration from the RA272 and was well-received by fans and the racing community alike.
The 2025 Japanese Grand Prix holds additional significance as it marks the final home race for Red Bull with Honda as their engine supplier. The partnership has been remarkably successful, contributing to multiple world titles, including four for Max Verstappen and two Constructors’ Championships for the team.

In a notable lineup change, Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda will make his debut with Red Bull Racing at Suzuka, replacing Liam Lawson. Tsunoda’s promotion is timely, allowing him to race in front of his home crowd under the special Honda tribute livery.
Fans have expressed enthusiasm for the new design, praising its aesthetic appeal and the respectful nod to Honda’s rich history in Formula 1. The unveiling has generated considerable buzz on social media, with many looking forward to seeing the livery in action on the iconic Suzuka circuit.

As Red Bull and Honda prepare to part ways at the end of the season, this tribute serves as a fitting celebration of a partnership that has left an indelible mark on the sport. The special livery not only honors past achievements but also symbolizes the enduring legacy of collaboration and success between the two entities.
