The 2026 Bathurst 6 Hour delivered pure chaos… and a finish that will be talked about for years.
Thomas Randle and the Kavich brothers have taken victory in the #92 BMW but not without late race controversy, pressure, and a dramatic twist that flipped the result on its head.
After six brutal hours around Mount Panorama, it looked like Cameron Hill had done enough to secure the win in the #1 BMW. But a late race penalty changed everything, handing the advantage back to Randle and the Kavichs in the dying moments.
And from there… it was a flat out sprint to the line.
The final laps turned into an all out shootout, with the leaders pushing harder than ever even setting some of the fastest laps of the entire race right at the end.
Randle, who had already shown serious pace earlier in the weekend with a pole winning performance, stepped up when it mattered most. Alongside Ben and Michael Kavich, the trio held their nerve through the chaos to seal one of the most dramatic wins in recent Bathurst 6 Hour history.
BMW once again proved the benchmark at Bathurst, locking out the front of the field in the top class but this race was far from straightforward. Strategy, pressure, and penalties all played a role, with multiple contenders in the fight deep into the final stages. Hill’s late penalty proved decisive, opening the door just enough for the #92 entry to capitalise and steal the win in the closing laps.
Mount Panorama delivered again.
And Randle + the Kavich brothers?
They didn’t just win it…
They survived it.
