In a thrilling conclusion at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, Australia’s Min Woo Lee secured his maiden PGA Tour victory, finishing at 20-under par to edge out World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland by a single stroke.

Beginning the final round with a four-shot lead, Lee encountered challenges on the 8th and 16th holes. At the 8th, a wayward drive forced him to take an unplayable lie, but he managed a remarkable par save. On the 16th, after finding water off the tee, he limited the damage to a bogey. Despite these setbacks, Lee’s resilience shone through as he parred the final two holes to clinch the title.

This victory not only marks Lee’s first PGA Tour win but also propels him to a career-high 22nd in the world rankings and 16th in the FedExCup standings, making him the highest-ranked Australian golfer. The win also earned him $1.71 million in prize money.

Reflecting on his performance, Lee expressed pride in overcoming the mental challenges and acknowledged the significance of this achievement ahead of the upcoming Masters Tournament.
