On June 12, 2025, the Milwaukee Brewers unveiled their top pitching prospect, Jacob Misiorowski, to the major leagues in a much-anticipated debut against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 23-year-old right-hander showcased his exceptional talent, delivering a performance that left fans and analysts buzzing.
Misiorowski wasted no time making an impression. His first pitch clocked in at 100.5 mph, marking the second-fastest fastball thrown by a Brewers starter in the pitch-tracking era. He quickly surpassed that with subsequent pitches reaching 101.8 mph and peaking at 102.2 mph. Even his 78th pitch maintained a blistering speed of 101.1 mph, underscoring his remarkable stamina and velocity.
Before exiting due to cramps in his right calf and quad, Misiorowski delivered five hitless innings, striking out seven batters. His performance not only demonstrated his raw power but also his composure and control on the mound.
Drafted in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft from Crowder College, Misiorowski quickly ascended through the minor leagues. In 2025, with the Triple-A Nashville Sounds, he posted a 4-2 record and a 2.13 ERA over 13 games, striking out 80 batters in 63⅓ innings. His fastball, often exceeding 100 mph, has been a standout feature, earning him an elite 80 grade on the scouting scale. Another standout for me was the movement on his change up and his pitch mix.
Misiorowski’s debut signals a promising future for the Brewers’ pitching rotation. As he recovers from his minor cramping issue, fans eagerly anticipate his next appearance, hopeful that this performance is just the beginning of a stellar career.
