Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher delivered a dominant performance in Race 1 of the GT World Challenge Australia at Queensland Raceway, securing victory in their Team MPC Audi R8 LMS EVO II. Starting from pole, the duo maintained their lead throughout the race, finishing 11 seconds ahead of Tigani Motorsport’s Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti.

The race commenced with immediate drama as contact between Team BRM’s Mark Rosser, Team MPC’s Tim Miles, and Arise Racing GT’s Elliott Schutte led to spins before the first corner, prompting a safety car deployment. Rosser managed to rejoin the race, but Miles and Brendon Leitch retired due to the incident.
Schumacher capitalized on the early chaos, building a substantial lead. Feeney took over after a smooth pit stop and extended their advantage. Ojeda advanced to second place following issues for competitors, including a drive-through penalty for the Arise Racing GT Ferrari and a pit stop breach by Volante Rosso’s Aston Martin.
In the Am Cup, Renee Gracie emerged victorious after a competitive battle with the #111 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Grant Donaldson and Darren Currie. Meanwhile, Paul Stokell and Gary Higgon secured the Trophy Class win in their KFC Audi R8 LMS, contributing to Team MPC’s sweep of class victories.

This win bolsters Feeney and Schumacher’s championship aspirations as the GT World Challenge Australia season progresses.
