If you thought pit stops were all about precision and speed, think again! The recent Supercars event gave us a twist straight out of a blooper reel. Picture this: Will Brown and Nick Percat collide in pit lane. Yep, you read that right. Not on the track, but in the actual pit lane. Awkward.

Percat hit the rear of Brown’s car as they turned into pit entry at the end of Practice 2 in Tasmania. After the first shunt Brown applied the brakes which he then received more contact. Brown also swerved out of the fast lane and that’s where the team radios started.

Brown claimed “Percat tried turning me in pit lane,” while Matt Stone Racing driver Percat claimed the reigning champion brake-tested him.

Brown later took to social media, writing: “@nickpercat if you want to try and get a deal on a used car next time just ask.”

This incident was referred on to the race stewards and will be heard sometime Friday evening. The supercars return to the track for 2 races on Saturday, both are 120km long.
