The Adelaide Giants are set for a new chapter, with Black Pearl Sports Group (BPSG) taking responsibility for the club’s day to day operations ahead of the 2026/27 Australian Baseball League season.
The move brings the Giants under the same operating group as the Perth Heat and Sydney Blue Sox, with BPSG now responsible for three ABL clubs.
Despite the change in operations, the Giants will remain firmly based in Adelaide and retain their existing identity and connection with South Australian baseball.
Pelligra Group will also remain involved as a partner, continuing its support of the Giants and the club’s long-term ambitions.
BPSG will bring experience across professional baseball operations, commercial partnerships, memberships, marketing and game day delivery as the Giants prepare for the upcoming season.
The ABL says the priority is ensuring a smooth transition while maintaining stability for the club and its supporters.
Importantly for Giants fans, the three BPSG operated clubs will continue to operate as separate teams, each maintaining their own players, coaches, supporters and local identities.
However, the shared structure could provide greater resources and expertise across areas including commercial operations, marketing, data, broadcasting and administration.
The move comes as the ABL prepares for its 2026/27 season, with ticket sales scheduled to launch in September.
For Adelaide, the message is simple: the Giants aren’t going anywhere.
They remain Adelaide’s team, with a new operating structure now in place as Australian baseball enters another period of change.
