Broc Feeney has produced a dramatic finish at Queensland Raceway, winning the final race of the Ipswich Super 440 and snatching the 2026 Repco Sprint Cup from Matt Payne.

Payne entered the final race with a 110-point advantage and looked on course to secure the title. However, his hopes disappeared midway through the race when his #19 Ford Mustang suffered a suspected electrical or engine-related failure, forcing him to retire.

Feeney took full advantage, controlling the race to claim victory ahead of Brodie Kostecki and teammate Will Brown. The win was Feeney’s sixth of the 2026 season and secured him automatic qualification for the Supercars Finals, along with 25 bonus points.

For Payne, it was a brutal end to what had been a remarkably consistent Sprint Cup campaign. His retirement allowed Feeney to turn a huge points deficit into championship glory on the final day.

Feeney’s victory also continues his strong record at Ipswich, with the Triple Eight driver once again proving a major threat at Queensland Raceway.

The Supercars Championship now turns its attention to the Enduro Cup, with the next round scheduled for The Bend in South Australia from September 11–13.
